Post-certification

Once you have successfully passed your first audit and obtain your certificate, it is important to continue monitoring the processes and improve your systems, this is called post certification processes. These processes are:

Annual surveillance: ISO surveillance audit is a yearly audit done to ensure an Organization is continuing to comply with ISO standards, this will help to ensure that the re-certification audit carried out every 3 years is not a formality.  This audit is also done to retain your company’s profile on the ISO Certificate verification site.

Re-certification: After a certification body certifies that a company is compliant with the ISO 9001 standard that defines the requirements for a quality management system (QMS), the ISO examines the Organization’s operations every three years to ensure it is continuing to keep up with ISO fundamentals and then reissue a new certificate.
